The Complete Films from the Future – Now on YouTube

Listen to the complete Films from the Future for free on YouTube!

After several weeks of recording, the complete Films from the Future is now freely available on YouTube!

You can watch/listen to all 114 videos on the Films from the Future YouTube channel. But by far the easiest way to listen is to browse the book chapters and sections over on the Moviegoer’s Guide to the Future page here.

I’ve had a few people ask why this isn’t a podcast, pointing out that it’s much harder to listen to content like this on YouTube.

I’m actually considering the idea (although so far, very few people have shown interest in the pilot podcast that’s been launched). But with very little effort, the YouTube recordings can be listened to as easily as any podcast, simply by selecting the relevant playlist or episode from here on your phone or computer.

You can also select and play various episodes very easily using the playlist above, or the playlists on the Moviegoer’s Guide page. Simply select the episode you want to listen to from the drop-down menu to the top right of each playlist, and off you go!

I’m hoping that people do listen to the recordings — it’s a huge deal for me putting a popular book like this online for free, and it took an incredible amount of time and effort to produce the YouTube channel. I also worry — quite a lot I must confess — that making these readings available for free will, perversely, make people think that they’re not worth listening to, simply because they are free.

I think they are worth it — even though I’m an amateur when it comes to reading in public — as the episodes provide unique insights into emerging technologies and their socially responsible and beneficial development, and cover information and perspectives that you won’t get anywhere else (unless you purchase the book, of course!).

If you agree, please do let me know, and spread the word around — I’d hate for all this to be for nothing.

And happy listening!
